Privacy policy
This policy explains what Geeks SVGs (www.geeksvgs.com) collects when you use the site, why, and who else is involved. It only covers this website.
What we collect
- When you browse. You don't need an account to browse or download. Like any website, our server records your IP address, browser and the pages you visit. We use this to keep the site running, count downloads and searches, and stop abuse.
- When you register. Your name, username, email address, password (stored only as a hash, never as plain text), whether you want emails about new SVGs, and, if you fill it in, how you heard about us. We also record the IP address you signed up from and the one you last logged in from.
- When you upload. The files and the details you enter (title, author, website, tags, license), along with your username and IP address.
- When you contact us. The contact, DMCA and report forms collect your name, email address, message and IP address. We keep these so we can follow up, and email a copy to the site admin.
How we use it
- To run the site and your account, including the emails needed to confirm your address or reset your password.
- To send you emails about new SVGs, but only if you ticked that box. You can turn it off in Settings at any time.
- To answer messages, handle copyright notices and reports, and keep spam and abuse off the site.
- To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it.
We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
Cookies and third-party services
- Our cookie. We set one cookie to keep you logged in and remember your settings during a visit.
- Google Analytics tells us how many people visit and which pages they use. It sets its own cookies. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on.
- Google AdSense shows the ads that pay for the site. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's My Ad Center, or visit aboutads.info to opt out of other ad networks. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Google reCAPTCHA protects our forms from spam. It's subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Email. Account emails are sent through our email provider, which handles your address only to deliver them.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block ours, you won't be able to log in.
When we share information
- With the services listed above, only as needed for them to do their job.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the site and its users from fraud or abuse.
Your choices
- You can browse and download without an account.
- You can change your name, email and email preferences in Settings.
- To see the information we hold about you, or to have your account and its information deleted, send us a message on the contact page from the email address on your account. When we delete an account, files you uploaded stay on the site without your username, and your username and IP address are removed from our records. Messages you sent us through the contact, DMCA or report forms are kept, since they may be needed for copyright disputes.
Security
- The whole site uses HTTPS, passwords are stored only as hashes, and only the site's admins can see account and contact details.
- No website is completely secure. If you think your account has been compromised, reset your password and let us know.

- This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
